Apply to Adopt

  • We keep our process simple and thoughtful to make sure each dog is matched with the right home.

    1. Application
    Complete an adoption application so we can learn more about you, your home, and what you’re looking for.

    2. Phone Conversation
    We’ll connect with you to go over your application, answer questions, and talk through the best match.

    3. Home Video
    A short video of your home helps us ensure a safe and comfortable environment.

    4. Approval
    Once approved, you’ll be added to a private group for your dog’s flight updates and arrival details.

    5. Arrival in Vancouver (YVR)
    Your dog will arrive at Vancouver International Airport, where you will meet them and bring them home. We can arrange transport within BC at an extra cost if required.

  • You can apply by completing our application form. We carefully review each application and reach out to applicants who we feel are the best match for the dog.

  • Our adoption fees typically range from $900–$1,050 CAD and may vary depending on transportation, airline, veterinary, and other import-related costs.

    We make every effort to have dogs spayed or neutered before leaving Mexico. However, this may not always be possible due to their age, health, or other veterinary considerations. Please ask us about the spay or neuter status of the dog you are interested in adopting.

    Adoption fees help cover veterinary care, vaccinations, transportation to Vancouver (YVR), and the day-to-day costs of caring for our rescued dogs, including food, shelter, and other essential needs.

  • Each dog receives veterinary care at the time of rescue, and a health exam before their flight. including vaccinations, deworming, flea and tick prevention, and a 4 DX SNAP test. Dogs are spayed or neutered when age and health allow.

    Your adoption fee also helps cover the cost of preparing and transporting your dog to Vancouver (YVR), including all paperwork, CBSA fees, and porter services.

  • Our dogs are located in Mexico and travel to Vancouver once adopted.
    Our team is based in British Columbia, with Tara in Maple Ridge and Cassie in Kelowna. Tara personally travels to Mexico to bring the dogs home, and both Tara and Cassie provide support before and after arrival.

  • We’re a small, hands-on team that truly cares about where each dog ends up. from your first application to arrival day, we’re here to guide you, answer questions, and make sure you feel confident every step of the way.
