He has since been examined by a veterinarian, and the recommendation is simply to let him continue enjoying life as he is. Max is happy, mobile, and has adapted beautifully. Sometimes he walks with his little back leg lifted, and other times he uses it — but he gets around well and doesn’t let his past define him. When we visited the shelter, Max greeted us with a wagging tail and so much happiness. He will soon be moving into Yara’s home, where he can enjoy regular walks, continue building strength, and maintain the mobility he has today. Max is the kind of dog who reminds you that life doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful. He is joyful, affectionate, and full of love.
